Why Isn't American Gangster Platinum Yet?

Okay this I am having trouble understanding, How come Jay-z didn't go platinum yet?
What's going on with hiphop these days. It's like we cry for real music but when we get it
we don't support it. Maybe he shouldn't have pull his album off Itunes. Itunes would have least gave him
some more numbers. Last time I check he was nearing 700,000 copies. It's time to wake up people and start
supporting real music again.
